Joanna Abrahams joins Valemus’ growing Family and Divorce Law Practice

Valemus Law, the UK-wide business and family law firm, is pleased to announce that Joanna Abrahams, recently Head of Setford Solicitor’s 30 strong Family practice, has joined its Family and Divorce law practice.

Joanna is a leading lawyer in the family law field, and one of only a handful of UK lawyers specialising in parental alienation. She has appeared on BBC Two’s Victoria Derbyshire programme, BBC Women’s Hour and Channel Four, and has written numerous articles in mainstream media discussing this recently recognised phenomenon in divorce matters where one parent ‘turns’ a child against the other, either knowingly or unknowingly, often resulting in devastated mental well-being of the child.

“We are very pleased to have Joanna as a partner in our Divorce and Family Law practice,” said Oliver Brice, Valemus Law’s Managing Director and Founder. “The practice is relatively new but thanks to the efforts of Mark Goldstein and Ginny Colman, our other two partners, it has become established very quickly. We are committed to its continued growth with top lawyers around the country. Joanna’s extensive experience and outstanding reputation assisting clients will be significantly beneficial to our firm.”

Joanna has been practising family law since 2000, and has a reputation both internationally and nationally for exceptionally strong advocacy skills. She advises extensively on all aspects of marriage breakdowns.

Joanna says, “I was attracted to the ambition that Oliver has for Valemus Law and its roster of high calibre lawyers covering a broad base of sectors and practice areas. I’m looking forward to working with Mark and Ginny and helping with the growth of the firm and, in particular, its Divorce and Family Law offering.”
