Experience

Manisha is a respected and personable Family solicitor with more than 13 years of specialist experience in children and relationship matters. She advises and supports her clients through some of the most difficult and tumultuous periods in their lives with an empathetic yet robust manner, in order to achieve the best possible outcome.

With regards to her expertise in children law, Manisha advises parents and extended family members on a wide range of issues from Child Arrangements Orders to Permanent Removal from the jurisdiction. She has extensive experience and knowledge in dealing with particularly intractable contact matters requiring enforcement and expert intervention. With respect to divorce and financial matters, she represents people with high net worth and often complex finances such as trusts and foreign assets, as well as families of more conservative means but always with the same level of compassion and tenacity.  Manisha regularly acts for English nationals residing in the UAE and elsewhere in their divorce and financial settlements through the English courts.  She also advises unmarried couples on property and children issues, helping them to navigate the current legal remedies available to them and how best to utilise these.  Manisha further assists victims of domestic abuse with applications for injunctions in a patient and supportive manner.

Manisha is known for her approachable and affable manner and as a member of Resolution, is committed to helping her clients settle their disputes out of court wherever possible and in a cost-effective way.  She is happy to adapt to the needs of her individual client and communicate in ways they are most comfortable with, whether that be traditional phone calls and letters or using progressive means such as WhatsApp and Zoom. Manisha is bilingual, being fluent in English and Mauritian Creole with a basic understanding of French and Hindi.
